In this article, we will compare two web frameworks: Apache Struts Web Application Framework (Struts) and JavaServer Faces (JSF).

Both Struts and JSF support basic navigation operations among pages, validation and internationalization. However, JSF surpass Struts because of its interface and events components model processed on server.

If you want to develop complex user interfaces using traditional technologies such as servlets, JSP’s or even Struts, you will have to write plenty of codes in pages in order to show results and to handle user events. In a JSF implementation, interface elements are represented by standardized components and user actions are represented by events handled by application on server side.

This kind of components model based on events has made easier to develop complex desktop applications interfaces and it also may simplify web development.

Some people defend a hybrid usage of Apache Struts and JSF, as if they were supplementary. According to them, we should use JSF interface components in Struts applications. However, JSF supports all existent stages, since the begging of requisition until generation of response content. Hence, a hybrid approach would only be interesting to help on the gradual migration from Struts to JSF.

Domain Name:

It is always better to register a longer domain name easier to remember and that makes sense than a shorter one that doesn’t. Go with just Letters Numbers, hyphens and other unknown characters can confuse your user. And register the ‘.com’ domain rather than ‘.net’ or ‘.org’. It should be obvious why.

Content:

Ok, now when your blog is set, important thing to focus on is your content. Originality and regularity are the two most important factors that will determine your site’s fate. Think what you know that most people don’t. What are your fields of expertise? Make it your niche. For example, a celebrity Gossips blog is a celebrity gossip niche.

Spread The Word:

Participate in different forums and reply on posts that matches your sites content. If you think you have written something amazing, interesting or unique then dig it. Submit a new topic on digg.com and you will immediately see some traffic. There are whole bunches of these kinds of site. Submit your story on as many sites as you can. If nothing happens, you will end up getting free backlinks from these high page ranked sites. But this technique will be only feasible for a short period. You will have to keep providing good content so that the visitors want to come to your site directly.

Monetizing Your Site:

Some webmasters claim that they don’t want to focus on monetizing the site unless it gets some traffic but I believe that you have to think about monetizing even before you register your domain. Think ways how you can earn money without loosing the professionalism of your site. Don’t just fill your site with junk ads. Google adsense and adbrite are probably the best source of income for webmasters. Also check for affiliate marketing because it can help you earn a lot of money in a small period of time. Read other webmaster forums as mentioned above to know what are the latest money making trends on the net.

And finally, be optimistic, don’t give up and pray.

According to MoneyNews.com as reported by the New Max network,
The Federal Reserve left its target Fed funds rate unchanged at 5.25 percent for the 8th straight meeting. The latest meeting happens to mark a whole year since the Fed last adjusted rates.
Information and forecasts about economic & employment numbers may be found at Eljaysun Financial & Banking News

This puzzling inaction over the last year has come even though inflation has been rising and the overall economy dipping a bit. And it’s looking increased assured that Bernanke & Co.’s inaction may very well lead to a bout of stagflation, which of course is a mixture of increased inflation and recession.
It is not a pretty mixture, unfortunately. On the whole, inflation has been consistently growing since October of 2006, unfortunately.
Furthermore, News Max reported, GDP has slowed down over the last year to a rate of only 0.7 percent in the first quarter of 2007. Ouch, that really hurts.
The Fed is holding out hopes that inflation will begin to slwo down and that economic growth will be “moderate” this year, picking up in the second half.
Similiar news may be found over at the be found at IFIP News

Is that a pipe dream? probably not, but even the Fed has said that the housing slump and it’s effect overall will be worse than previously expected. “The correction of the housing sector was likely to continue to weigh heavily on economic activity through most of this year - somewhat longer than previously expected”. This statement was taken from the Fed’s May 9 meeting.

Findings about
Goji berries

As you probably are aware, goji is the recent hot
topic. Imports of goji berries from China have exploded. In addition,
dealers also import goji juice into Europe. It has been mostly marketed as
Himalayan goji berries or Tibetan goji
berries. I admit that I am goji fan as well, so I have bought goji berries from
healthy food stores, supermarkets such as Tesco, but I think they are too
expensive from these places. So I advice looking for online
retailer
for goji berries. In the mean time, I have done a lot of
research about goji, and would like to share with you.

As goji berries have been grown and consumed in China for a few thousand years,
many research papers one can find about goji berries have been written by
Chinese scientists. If you look up the medical and scientific papers
repository (PubMed), you could easily find around 50 articles about goji
berries. But I have to say that most of such papers are written Chinese,
though they might have short abstracts written in English. I indeed found
one of such studies discussing goji berries’ capability on anti-cancer.
It shows a significant improvement in patients who took cancer drugs and goji
berry extract as opposed to the patients who took cancer drugs only.
Following are the discussions on a few aspects of research on goji
berries:

Toxicity: Research about goji berries in the past had caused concerns
about its content of tropine (toxic element) . In September 2006,
scientists at the University of Graz in Austria analyzed Chinese goji berries.
They have found some trace of atropine, but they were far below toxic levels.

Anti-aging Effects: In 2006, Chinese scientists compared the
anti-oxidant levels between goji berries and vitamin C. They did the tests on
older mice. They found that polysaccharides from goji berries helped
to compensate for “the decline in antioxidant capacity, immune function and
antioxidant enzymes”. The polysaccharides were also found to fight free
radicals. These studies are very encouraging.

Goji Berries and Diabetes: In 2004 the scientists at Wuhan University
(CHINA) have found that goji berries extract has obviously increased HDL,
or “good,” cholesterol in the rabbits and a reduction in blood glucose
level. Therefore nowadays it is regarded that goji berries have anti-diabetes effect.
